The Business Physical system started in 1997 based
on years of experience in management consulting. The goal of the
tool was to create a standardized methodology to analyze
business operations. Shared successes and methodologies combined
with global best practices in business management are the basis
of the tool.
There are
currently no Universities or Colleges that offer a Degree in
Consulting. Anybody can call themselves a consultant. This
typically leads to a situation where the advice and results will vary completely
depending on the individual consultant and not the company you hire.
Furthermore, consultants’ and coaches not
affiliated with ECG do not have the availability of the Business Physical
system.
Business
owners and management in general look at consultants with high
hopes for an all-encompassing solution, a new method,
technology, theory, or system. The first issue with this is that
everybody and every business is unique. Therefore a new method,
technology, theory, or system based on someone else’s experience
has no meaning at all and will not lead to the expected level of
results. Functional transferability of experience is not
possible. A easy way to explain this, is think back to when your
parents told you not to do something; you had to do it anyway,
to have your own experience. This is why we have developed a
process that facilitates the business owner and or management to
have his or her own experiences along with techniques to improve
their business with. In many situations the problem lies in the
fact the business owner needs to adjust not just change
the environment. This is crucial. Until the
business owner and or management accepts responsibility for what
is happening in the business, all outside help is futile.
Our
approach was to develop a system that will guarantee a clear
picture of where the business stands from all angles, not
just from one expertise.
Much of our developed methodology
involved partnering with a
pre-selected group of
experts.
The Business Physical will clearly identify, quantify and
qualify the issues at hand and create a picture of what the "rebuild" company
could look like. |
